All your major, well known DJs perform here, but this year I wanted to hear the lesser known, but up and coming acts. Bring a camelbak and cooling towel. The year before, my friends were stuck in the parking lot for 3 hours trying to exit. We ended up getting free VIP wristbands, which was awesome.

We stayed at Red Rock Casino and Hotel which was about 30 minutes drive away, free parking and a fabulous hotel. Bathrooms of course well you know can only go so well when you have 150k attendees toileting in the dark. Buy souvenirs right before you leave. Lots of creative outfits! ONE night to go. Maybe the ladies can get one of those portable funnels to use in there? Love every single PLUR person that I came into contact with over those 3 days. Overpriced, as to be expected. Compared to last year, I believe entering and exiting the speedway has improved substantially. PDA with your same sex partner? And yes, there are rides; it is a carnival right? So much fun that in hindsight, I almost forget how hot and miserable I was for the first 6 hours of the event. EDC fireworks are insane, so many displays that put a lot of July 4th specials to shame. Who wants to carry something while they are dancing? Reserved tables, bottle service and loads of amenities. This year there were free games, a vape village, and of course the free rides! Insomniac, because yes even they are the most prestigious EDM event company there is always room for improvement. This is the only music festival that I buy my tickets for months ahead without even knowing who will be performing. Those water pumps are also incredibly strong and fast. You definitely get a great view of everything! PLUR and it seemed like most people were just chilling rather than actually enjoying the music and dancing.

Even though this is my 5th EDC I did have an amazing time, and I am planning on attending EDC for the rest of my life, because overall it is definitely the experience of a lifetime. Heard some people got overcharged using a card. There were multiple shuttles but the Village Lot was probably the worst. LEFT MY HEART AT EDC! Staff were pretty pleasant for the most part but they may give you a hard time if you need go back to the car for different pair of shoes as we had a heck of a time lol. Other events include, Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape Wonderland, Beyond Escape, etc; but EDC is their main event in my opinion. Bring an empty water bottle and fill at the water stations, water is 6 dollars a bottle. DO NOT get a water bottle.

Do shell out for the Marquee Skydeck. It is sometimes impossible to get a signal and even if you do, it may take an hour or so for the text message to go through. Just got my arm spray painted with Insomniac owl and hair braided for free at the venue! He was sooo good. That new wifi special Snapchat yadda ya they promote? The best way to get OUT of the crowd is to follow some burly big dudes going the same way and stick close them. Only positive vibes allowed! It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is huge and mostly asphalt with some grassy areas. When I say the beginning, I mean people that have chugged bottles in the parking lot are throwing up on the way in as soon as gates open. Electric Daisy Carnival did it again, and in the biggest way yet in Las Vegas! Pack a small towel. Of course the only thing is trying to get to the venue was a pain. This experience will bring you and your squad even closer because once you live life under the electric sky then your entire perspective on life itself is positvely altered.
